Welcome to Noiz’s new platform. There are many changes, but in this article we’ll look at the most significant ones—and, more specifically, the changes compared to the old platform.

Category Changes

  • Guitars, basses, amplifiers, pedals, and all accessories have been merged into a single category: Guitars & Basses, with their respective subcategories.

  • The “Recording” category has been renamed “Pro Audio” and now includes the “PA Equipment” subcategory (formerly “Live Sound”). The PA Equipment subcategory contains listings that pertain exclusively to live sound. For example, a mixing console used for live performances is typically not used in a studio. Conversely, however, because microphones are used for both studio and live applications, they are all grouped together under Pro Audio → Microphones. This approach prevents situations where, for example, microphones would appear in multiple categories.

  • A new “Services” category that contains only services and no products.

  • The Music Lessons & Services category has been divided into three subcategories: Music Schools, Music Teachers, and Studios, all under the Services category.

  • The “Musicians & Sound Engineers” category has been divided into “Bands Looking for Musicians” and “Musicians Looking for Collaboration.” There are no plans for a separate Sound Engineers category, other than the aforementioned Studios category for listings of professional studios.

  • The “Books” category is now under “Vinyl, Cassettes & CDs.”

  • The “Images” category has been removed.

  • The platform features many new subcategories. New subcategories can be added as needed. If you’d like to list a product in a category you think should exist, please contact us at Please contact us.

New Fields

The main new fields are Brand and Model. Thousands of brand→model combinations have been published in each of the main categories (for example, select Gibson and then LesPaul). If you can’t find a specific brand or model, you can add a new option. Your submission will be reviewed by the administrators within 24 hours and, once approved, will be published.

In addition, there are new fields for the product’s shipping method, which are: Shipping to My Country, Europe, Worldwide, or Hand-to-Hand.

Note: New fields will be added on a regular basis to the subcategories of the new platform. These changes will be posted on the changes page.

Multilingual Support

Noiz is now available in other languages, such as Bulgarian, German, Italian, Romanian, and Swedish. Our goal is to enable users from abroad to use the platform, something that was already happening—and indeed with increasing frequency—on the previous platform. Users from abroad can list products for sale or contact sellers to make a purchase. Read more at related article.

Automatic Location Detection

Your location is automatically detected (roughly). When you log in, the system will ask you if the location (at the city level) is correct.

When creating a new listing, you must enter the location where the product you’re selling is available, and you can use the automatic location detection feature. At profile settings, you can enter a permanent location so you don’t have to enter it for every listing. (Select “Address from my account” on the listing form.)

Images & Videos

The process of uploading images is now easier. The platform allows you to upload up to 20 or more images.

You can also upload videos via the listing form to showcase the product to potential buyers. You don’t need to upload the video via YouTube: simply select the file under “Photos & Videos.”

Instant Login

You can log in to Noiz directly via Facebook, just like before, as well as with a Google account. In addition, the option to log in with an Apple account will be added.

Communication with Sellers/Buyers

Communication regarding a transaction now takes place exclusively through the Noiz platform. Email addresses and phone numbers will not be published for security reasons.

Communication takes place directly through the page Messages and can occur in real time (via chat).

A More Comprehensive Rating System

Rating members is now easier. Each member’s rating is clearly displayed on the page for each listing.

Mobile app

Noiz is now available as a mobile/tablet app (PWA). Visit related article to install it.
